Timing belt records on used LX 470 purchases: the LX 470 is old enough now that many examples have changed hands multiple times. If you bought yours without documentation of when the timing belt was last done, treat it as overdue. The 2UZ-FE is an interference engine — the cost of a belt failure is an engine, not a repair. High-altitude cooling system demands: Utah's altitude means the LX's engine runs at lower air pressure, and canyon or off-road driving in summer creates real thermal stress on the cooling system.
