Services

Scott's Auto and Clutch provides automotive repair and maintenance services including but not limited to clutch repair, transmission service, brake repair, CV joint replacement, and general auto maintenance. All services are performed by qualified technicians at our South Salt Lake location.

Estimates and Authorization

• We provide estimates based on initial inspection and diagnosis. Final costs may vary if additional issues are discovered during repair.
• We will contact you for authorization before performing any work that exceeds the original estimate.
• Written or verbal authorization is required before we begin any repair work on your vehicle.
• Estimates are valid for 30 days from the date provided.

Payment Terms

• Payment is due upon completion of services unless other arrangements have been made in advance.
• We accept cash, checks, and major credit cards.
• Vehicles will not be released until payment is received in full.
• A mechanic's lien may be placed on vehicles with unpaid balances in accordance with Utah state law.

Parts and Materials

• We use quality replacement parts appropriate for your vehicle and repair needs.
• Upon request, replaced parts will be made available for customer inspection.
• Customer-supplied parts may be installed at our discretion; however, we cannot warranty work performed using customer-supplied parts.

Warranty

• Parts and labor warranties vary by service type and will be explained at the time of service.
• Warranty claims must be made by returning the vehicle to our shop for inspection.
• Warranty does not cover damage resulting from misuse, neglect, accidents, or modifications made after service.
• We are not liable for consequential damages or losses resulting from vehicle breakdown.

Vehicle Storage

• We are not responsible for loss or damage to personal items left in vehicles.
• Vehicles left for service are stored at the owner's risk.
• Storage fees may apply to vehicles not picked up within 3 business days after completion of service.
• Abandoned vehicles will be handled in accordance with Utah state law.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Scott's Auto and Clutch shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use of our services or website. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.
