The small-displacement turbo runs hot, and degraded oil in a turbocharged engine causes accelerated wear on the turbocharger bearings — which aren't cheap to replace. Don't stretch your oil changes in Utah's temperature extremes.
If you take your Renegade on Utah canyon roads or gravel trails, check your front wheel well areas for gravel and debris packing around the CV boots. Small rocks can work their way into a boot and tear it, starting the clock on joint failure. A quick visual check after any off-pavement driving takes thirty seconds.
Renegade owners approaching 90,000–100,000 miles: if you don't have a record of the timing belt being replaced, treat it as overdue. Utah's climate cycles rubber components harder than the factory interval assumes.
