Second-gen RL SH-AWD rear differential fluid breaks down faster with canyon use. The 30,000-mile factory interval assumes moderate conditions — if you regularly drive Big or Little Cottonwood canyons, plan to service it closer to 20,000 miles.
The RL's cooling system uses a thermostat and coolant that degrade over time. Test coolant pH and strength every two years — the J35A8 runs at a higher operating temperature and is less forgiving of borderline coolant condition in Utah summer heat.
